It was a long day at work, spent organizing a nationwide celebration of Spirit Day on October 15th and I loved every minute of it.
Seeing that there was an opportunity to hold the event and upon getting the go-ahead from my managers and directors, I went full steam ahead with a senior manager, organizing the day to remember lives lost to bullying but most importantly celebrating the coming together of all groups to put a stop to bullying.
While walking to get lunch at a nearby restaurant during my break, I was halfway through my meal, thinking about and jotting down notes about the upcoming event, when I saw this heart-shaped tomato nestled subtly in the midst of my salad.
I stopped and with a huge smile, took a photo with my phone to share here.
It wasn’t a profound moment realization but a small moment in my day that highlighted the gratitude I was already feeling at how much of a difference we would be able to make, firmly planted where we stand in any given moment.
If that’s not something to be grateful for, I don’t know what is.
