Poutine, Tea and Good Friends

I was out with a friend for poutine and tea, staying up late and talking about eveything and nothing all at the same time.

Though I am pretty social, I hadn’t spent a whole night talking so openly and it was like food for the soul.

We were getting ready to leave the restaurant when I saw a heart shape on the counter.

I had to stop and snap a picture.

It’s as though the Universe was giving me a great hug, reminding me to say a few extra thanks for how incredible it feels to connect with another person and laugh that hard.

Sometimes, gratitude can taste like poutine and blueberry tea.
